This is series 3. For proper understanding we suggest you follow up from series 1 with the links above which are right below the image above.
There was something the woman couldn’t be inside of a man that she could only be without (a helper!) a rock solid physical balance and support, while God remains our spiritual balance as both male and female. The woman wasn’t created later, she was from the very existence of Adam, she was simply brought out, and fashioned into a separate body, and Adam seeing her could only describe her as one taken out of Him, not as a new creature!
21 And the LORD God caused a deep sleep to fall upon Adam, and he slept: and he took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh instead thereof;
22 And the rib, which the LORD God had taken from man, made he a woman, and brought her unto the man.
23 And Adam said, This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh: she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man.
24 Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh.
25 And they were both naked, the man and his wife, and were not ashamed.
This is beautiful, a man shall cleave to his wife (not girlfriend) and they shall be one flesh, also not one spirit, for only with God could we form a unity of Spirit. They also were naked, the man and his wife (not girlfriend) and were not ashamed. In the beginning they were naked and not ashamed because the first garments they wore was God’s glory, today we’ve chosen to rather put on darkness and ignorance, we are naked and not ashamed but we are dancing in chains and in shame.
God separated humanity bodily for His purpose and His pleasure, however Adam and Eve now worshipped as ‘uni’ beings. We must understand that sex and marriage mirrors our relationship with God, just the same way it does Christ and the Church
30 For we are members of his body, of his flesh, and of his bones.
31 For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall be joined unto his wife, and they two shall be one flesh.
32 This is a great mystery: but I speak concerning Christ and the church.
33 Nevertheless let every one of you in particular so love his wife even as himself; and the wife see that she reverence her husband.
Hence, sex cannot be done without another or outside an established covenant, for every covenant is sealed by blood, as the blood from sex is the seal of the covenant of marriage, as marriage is not complete without consummation by sex! The Yoruba tribe in Nigeria has a beautiful marriage culture; the marriage is done in the evening, whereby the exchange of gifts and prayers are done, alongside vows and blessings. Then the entire town dances and celebrates with the couple till they get to the man’s house, while the newly wed couples go inside to consummate their marriage, the entire village waits outside waiting for the seal of the marriage which is usually the virgin blood of the woman, without this tender the wedding is of no effect and annulled, and the woman has no claim on the man, and the woman’s family is shamed and disgraced, however should this be otherwise, there’s great joy and more rejoicing as the entire village celebrates the married couple, and the wedding is considered complete.
Sex is humanity coming together as “…male and female He created He them” (whole and complete as initial creation mode) to worship God! For there’s an expression of the image of God that cannot be found in us as ‘uni’ individuals, but can only be found in the union of humanity as one through sex, it’s an expression with the ability to reproduce and potential to create life! ………………………… (TO BE CONTINUED)
