I did not bring up this issue to ridicule who has the belief that a female wearing trousers is a sin, but I wrote this to share with you my understanding concerning this issue.
Duetoronomy 22: 5 The woman shall not wear that which pertaineth unto a man, neither shall a man put on a woman’s garment for all that do so are abomination unto the Lord thy God. This scripture has been quoted that it has been separated to only trousers and skirts. What about the wrappers our parents use, who really needs to tie the wrapper and who needs to stop it? Let me shock you with some biblical truth so you may know that our fathers who were under the law wore skirts and if they did and they could interpret the law does it mean they sinned in the presence of the law?
Funny enough even our own dear Aaron wore skirt and the two examples sighted above are men who were under the law from which you quote Duetoronomy 22:5, and even if it was a sin have you read Duetoronomy 22:11 Thou shalt not wear a garment of divers sorts, as of woollen and linen together. Are you innocent of it too? Why will you choose one law and continue to hit on it and neglect the rest, these two laws are in the same chapter. Remember James 2:10 For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all.
I know majority of folks who will be reading this may ask if I can wear skirts. Let me answer you before you’ll ask. There are cultures where men are allowed to put on skirts that is its their custom. Even here in Nigeria a typical Benin chief wears skirt so if I love the culture and their designs I’ll definitely rock it.
To end it all I’ll say to you if it’s OK for you to wear skirts only then rock it to the Glory of God and if it’s OK for you to wear Trousers so be it, also rock it to the Glory of God but my advice is as you dress whether on skirt or trousers do it sensibly and to God’s Glory. Don’t judge others.
