I’m radically saved says Kanye West as he reveals Jesus is King release date
Joining The Pure Flix Podcast, Pastor Adam Tyson spoke about Kanye West and him becoming “radically saved.”
“I was just under the weight of my sin and I was being convicted that I was running from God, and I knew I needed to make things right, so I came to Christ. I came out of darkness into the light,” West said according to Tyson.
The two of them met through industry members of his church. One of the congregants was working with Kanye and invited him to church. Tyson was skeptical, but the rapper showed up three out of four weeks. That is what then led to the aforementioned conversation.
“I’ve spent enough hours with this man to know God is doing a work.”
Every Tuesday Tyson gets together with Kanye West for Bible study. He also spends time in the studio with him recording Jesus is King. He often witnesses Kanye chastizing people who swear in the studio around him. “You can’t talk that around me, I’m a born again Christian.”
“For now on, all I want to do is serve Christ. I want every song that I sing to have part of my testimony, to include the gospel, and to include to the element of worship to our great God,” said Kanye. Tyson then explained that he advises West on the right way to “articulate the gospel clearly” in his songs.
Tyson also shared that after he did the Sunday Service sermon, people began approaching him on the streets asking him to pray for them and lead them to Christ.
“The fruit that I’m seeing is he’s no longer continuing in some of the sin patterns that he was before he came to Christ,” Tyson explained. “Right now, every day, he is living and walking with God, so from what I can tell, there’s no reason for me not to encourage that and be a part of that.”
Recently, Kanye West played his new album in Washington D.C. He explained that he’s not there to entertain, but rather “spread the gospel.” He then read from the Bible and said, “Excuse me if I mispronounce, I’m a recent convert.”
He then talks about the things he used to “worship” such as money, cars, and brand names. Kanye then reads through scriptures to the crowd.
He recently revealed that his album Jesus is King will be released October 25th via a tweet. Check the tweet below.
